“Somebody needs to care enough to bring the Deaf to the feet of Jesus!”Joe Kotvas – Pastor/Missionary

Miss Yolanda Jiménez Abad. was born in Loja, Ecuador, on June 9, 1977. She was raised in a strongly Catholic home, and accepted Christ as Savior after hearing the Gospel for the first time on December 7, 1997.

From the beginning she showed a joyfulness and love for God, and a great desire to serve Him. She began by helping in the nursury, and with time became a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher.

While attending a Baptist deaf camp, she felt a strong desire to serve the Lord full time. After eight years of seeking the Lord’s will, she decided to travel to Peru to see the deaf work here at Efata Baptist Church, where she is now serving as a missionary.

Miss Yolanda studied in the Bible institute at Grace Baptist Church in Guayaquil, Ecuador, where she is a member under the care of missionary Richard Hurst.
